Three years ago I was third in a 5K Lance Armstrong Race. I was a healthy and very active woman in my 60’s and then one morning I could hardly get out of bed. I was eventually diagnosed with the auto-immune condition polymyalgia rheumatica and my whole world as I knew it changed over night.  This website is dedicated to those like me who are searching for a more full and pain-free life Living With PMR.

Living With PMR TIP: What can you do? Add more veggies, fruit, nuts, tea and even chocolate to your diet. Many plant-based foods contain antioxidants and phytochemicals, both of which may decrease the activity of the COX-2 enzyme, reducing inflammation. And don’t forget to load up on omega-3 fatty acids, found in fatty fish like salmon and tuna.

2010  is another chance to improve your health and total lifestyle. Nothing is impossible if you really want to think positive and work on letting go of any negative elements in your life..Make a list of those things you can change and those you cannot.  Work on the things you can have control over and right now accept those things you can’t.  Like The Bucket List, make your list come alive and count not only in your dreams or wishes, but work on making them happen in reality.  Best to all of you.
